Tubular Heaters with & Without Fins
Tubular heaters, both with and without fins, are versatile heating elements used across various industrial applications due to their efficiency and durability. These heaters consist of a metal tube that encloses a resistance wire surrounded by insulating material, which allows for efficient heat transfer.
Finned tubular heaters have metal fins attached to the surface, increasing the surface area for heat dissipation. This design enhances heat transfer to the surrounding air, making them ideal for applications requiring rapid and efficient heating. Finned tubular heaters are commonly used in air heating, forced air ducts, and drying applications. Their enhanced heat transfer capability allows for more effective heating at lower surface temperatures, promoting energy efficiency and longer heater lifespan.
Non-finned tubular heaters, or plain tubular heaters, are used where direct heat transfer to liquids, solids, or gases is needed. They are ideal for immersion heating, ovens, and industrial baths. These heaters are highly customizable in terms of length, wattage, and sheath material, making them suitable for a wide range of specific heating requirements. Without fins, they provide uniform heating and are easier to clean and maintain, particularly in applications where contaminants or residues are present.
